About the Doctor:

Dr. Keyhani is in private practice in two locations in northern Westchester

and Putnam Counties.  He also teaches residents ophthalmic surgery as well as oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the prestigious and world renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary one day a week.  Dr. Keyhani is a member of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary oculoplastic surgery trauma service as well as the anterior segment trauma Service.

Dr. Keyhani was raised in Columbus Ohio where he attended the Ohio State

University for both his undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree.  Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Keyhani went on to complete a Master of Public Health degree at the Johns Hopkins University.  Dr. Keyhani completed his surgical residency in ophthalmology at the New York Eye and
Ear Infirmary.  Following residency, Dr. Keyhani completed a year of training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Vermont and a second year of training at the University of Calgary.

A s a general opthalmologist, Dr. Keyhani treats glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy,

corneal disorders, and performs laser vision correction and cataract surgery.
He also treats ocular trauma, eye allergies, dry eyes and prescribes glasses.

A s an oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. Keyhani offers a valued and scarce service.

Oculoplastic specialists perform surgery around and within the eye
socket. Dr. Keyhani’s areas of expertise include the medical and surgical management of problems of the eyelids, the bone structures surrounding the
eye (orbit) and of the tear glands and ducts (lacrimal system). Reconstructive
eyelid surgery includes the repair of eyelids that turn in (entropion) or out (ectropion), drooping eyelids (ptosis) and eyelids damaged by a tumor or trauma. Reconstructive oculoplastics also includes the management of diseases and
trauma to the orbit such as thyroid eye disease (Graves Disease), and
uncontrolled blinking (hemifacial spasm and blepharospasm).

Dr. Keyhani also performs cosmetic eyelid surgery including the removal of

excess skin and fat from the upper and lower eyelids. He corrects drooping of
the eyelids and face by performing both forehead and midface lifts and has
extensive experienced in the use of Botox® and collagen fillers to reduce or
eliminate facial wrinkles.
